Vas Street Studios
Our newest guest apartment. Opened in September 2006. Walking distance to gay bars and clubs and to the river Danube. Great public transport connections to all places in town. Centrally located on the Pest side
near Astoria Square and Blaha Luijza Square (2 subway stations).
Bright and sunny studio apartment on the top floor (5th floor) with elevator to the 4th floor. Quiet with nice backyard and roof view. Air condition (which is seldom needed in Budapest) and quality gas heating, unlimited hot water. Doublebed that can sleep 2 persons. Sat TV (Astra) with 40 English, German, French and other language channels. Kitchenette with fridge, electric stove, coffeemaker, water cooker, toaster. Bathroom with bath tub, washing machine, iron and ironing board. Towels, blankets etc. are there. Keysets for every guest. You may have your guests at no extra charge.
Opposite to gayowned Pizzeria Club 93 and around the corner of Urania movie theatre and coffeeshop where you can get free wifi internet access if you bring your own laptop. Restaurants, coffee shops, super markets, 24 hour shops and internet cafes nearby.
Its gay owned and gay operated and at check-in we take the time to answer all your general and gay related questions about Budapest. The staff is fluent English speaking and always reachable by mobile phone for assistance. Free printed gay map upon arrival.
Upon arrival you get a mobile phone for use during your stay. No charge for the phone and for incoming calls. For outgoing calls you may purchase a prepaid card at check-in (order in advance required). At check-in you can get info where to buy tickets for public transport, stamps and phone cards. Safety deposit box in each studio for your valuables (you create your own number code at arrival). Intercom system at front door.
Studio for 1 or 2 persons 55 EUR per night. Every 7th night free!

Airport
For transfer from the airport you can choose between the 'Airport Minibus' service and the airport taxi service 'Zona Taxi'. Both will bring you directly to the the address.
Airport Minibus: The best price for single traveller. Passengers are taken to the previously requested address by microbuses with eight to eleven seats. The rate is 2100 Forint per person (appr. EUR 8) from the airport to every address in the center of Budapest. It takes about 35 minutes, as the airport is in the outskirts. You'll find the Minibus desk after you've passed the custom. Seat reservation is not nessessary before arrival at the airport. If you already know when you'll need to go back to the airport you may purchase a Minibus return ticket for 3600 Forints.
Zona Taxi: The best price if you are 2 or more. Prices are fixed for airport taxis. Dembinszky Street is located in Zone 2 and your fare should cost not more than 3500 Forints (appr 14 Euros). You can exchange money at the airport. The fares are the maximum fares in Forints which Zona Service is allowed to charge. The journeys will also be metered, and if the meter shows a lower fare, then passengers will only pay the lower fare.
Train Stations
There are 3 different train stations in Budapest: Keleti (East), Nyugati (West) and Deli (South). See the taxi listing within our guide webpage if you like to take a cab from the station.
If you arrive at Nyugati station take the tram 4 or 6 to Blaha Luijza Square stop. When you get out walk down the Rakozsi ut in direction to the river Danube. Turn left into Vas utca.
If you arrive at Keleti station take a bus number 7 (with black and not with red number 7) and take 2 stops to Vas utca stop. Just cross Rakozci ut and you are in Vas utca. If you arrive at Deli station take the red metro line until the Astoria Square station. From there walk on Rakoczi ut and turn right into Vas utca.
Car & Parking
CAR. The best would be if you get a map. Vas utca is a one way street. The best is if you drive from Astoria Square on Rakozsi ut and turn right into Vas utca. There is parking in front of the building on the street. Nearby is also a guarded parking area in the Nyar street corner Dohany utca. Reservations are not needed.
